An intimate Olde Sanibel hideaway, the Waterside Inn is nestled on a beautiful stretch of white sand beach facing the Gulf of Mexico. Come stay in one of our charming beach cottages or efficiencies, just steps from the beach. Our unique property rests amid lush landscaping and is the perfect place for a romantic getaway, or for those looking for a quiet retreat where they can forget their worries. The Waterside Inn resides on a fifteen and a half mile stretch of beach, well known for excellent shelling, calm waters, and breathtaking sunsets. The hotel is also an ideal location for surf fishing, and bird watching. In addition to an exquisite beach view, the Waterside Inn has two heated swimming pools, shuffle board courts, fishing equipment, and bike rentals available for your entertainment. Propane grills are also on hand for those who like to barbeque. Please note that rates are based on double occupancy, and that there is a USD 20.00 extra person charge for each additional adult. Extra children are free. Check-in starts at 3 PM on the day of arrival. Please check-in at the front desk. Please call 800-741-6166 if arriving after 8 pm. After doing so, check the box in front of the office for an after hours arrival packet with your last name on it. The packet will include a key to the unit, and a map of the property. The barrier islands of Sanibel and Captiva reside off the gulf coast of Southwest Florida. Famous for their white sand beaches, world renowned shelling, lush tropical vegetation, and the Ding Darling Nature and bird sanctuary. The islands also have 25 miles of bike paths, and world class fishing.
