At The Lodge, you will find two lighted tennis courts, an outdoor pool and hot tub, and a play area for children. An 18-hole golf course with a restaurant is within a mile. Beautiful Lake Bridgeport is on site and is well-stocked for fishing. Pets are not allowed. There will be a USD 250 charge for guests found with pets. If you have a need for a handicap accessible unit you must call the resort in advance of arrival to request availability. Resort has 2 floors and no elevators. If you anticipate a late arrival on check-in day, you must contact resort in advance at 940-575-2252. Southern hospitality and the charms of the simple life are plentiful in Runaway Bay. Fort Worth is about 50 miles away, and Dallas is about 70 miles away. A drive into either city can result in almost any activity imaginable, from sightseeing to attending an opera.
