About Ame Boutique Hotel
Built-in 1878 as a multi-family home, it was converted to single family in 1999 by the current owners. Careful attention was paid to preserving the original plaster moldings, multi-piece trim work, doors, leaded glass transoms, soapstone fireplaces and ten foot high ceilings. The house was built in the Victorian Italianette-style and as such has a yellow stucco facade. The renovation included all new plumbing, electrical, new hardwood flooring throughout, new baths and a new kitchen. Guests will enjoy the suites with private baths, the common area gas and wood-burning fireplaces, the library-study, the exercise equipment room, eat-in kitchen, 600 square foot outdoor deck and multiple places to relax and watch a movie, your favorite sports team, or read a book. Ame is for daily and overnight guests. A place to improve ones state of being physically, emotionally and spiritually. Ame is a chance to revive your spirit and take care of yourself. In this hectic world we live in, it is nice to find a retreat where you can unwind and feel at home without the daily stresses of your own home environment. Here you can stay for a home-made meal in an intimate setting, get a massage followed by a nap, or get the encouragement you need to take better care of yourself by one of our personal care coaches. It is a special experience for the overnight traveler away from the institutionalized setting of the modern luxury hotel. Here you can experience what it is like to live with your own personal maid, chef, masseuse and trainer in a gem of a landmark row house a block from the Lincoln Park and about a mile from Chicagos Magnificent Mile.Given the intimate size of the hotel, we are not able to accommodate children under the age of twelve.
