Our night skys are beautiful with millions of stars visible free from light polution. Chaffee County, CO boasts of more fourteen thousand foot peaks than any other county in the continental United States. The Arkansas River headwaters generously provide us with fly-fishing, rafting, kayaking, and hiking like nowhere else in the U.S. A variety of wildlife visits us year round. Bring your Jeep or ATV and enjoy some of the many off road trails. Horseback riding, mountain climbing, snow shoeing, snowmobiling, road rallies, antique and classic car shows, mountain hiking the Colorado Trail, skiing, snowboarding or try the new ziplines all are favorite activities of residents and visitors alike. The San Isabel Bed and Breakfast B and B provides an exceptional alternative to the typical hotel stay, featuring Rocky Mountain lodging in four comfortable rooms with queen size beds. Cozy living rooms and outside sitting areas are always available, and full gourmet breakfasts are served each morning. Scenery is provided at no extra charge. Check-in is at 4 00 PM.
