Located within an exquisitely constructed neo-gothic style building, the Locanda Casa Santa Maria Formosa is situated overlooking the canal that skirts around Santa Maria Formosa, one of the liveliest and most picturesque areas of Venice. In a secluded spot away from the busy tourist thoroughfares, it is just a stones throw from Piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge. A buffet-style breakfast is served in a small dining room with a window overlooking the canal. On offer every morning are warm bread rolls and brioches, cheese, salami or ham, biscuits, cereals, yoghurts, orange juice, butter, three different types of jam, honey, Nutella hazelnut chocolate spread as well as Italian espresso coffee, cappuccino, Americano coffee, hot chocolate and three different varieties of tea.
Room service is available on request. For those who find it difficult to be without their laptop for long, Wi-Fi connection is available at competitive prices. This Venetian Inn offers its guests exclusive trips and excursions, on board a private boat, that are a unique and unusual way of getting to know the city and the lagoon.
