Trinity United Methodist Church: In 1887 the original building for Trinity United Methodist Church was built, but by 1891 the congregation had outgrown the church and a new building was built where the present church stands. In 1922 it was again decided that a larger church was needed so the original frame building was sold and construction began again. The basement of the new building was completed first and services were held there until the sanctuary could be finished, the first service ever held in the present sanctuary was on February 2, 1925. In the late 1980's ground was broken for an addition to the existing building for classrooms and staff offices. In 1999 construction began to restore the church to its original state. Today Trinity plays host to many weddings, regular services and an annual Christmas program. It is located at the intersection of West Oak Street (Main Street) and North Orange Avenue, in the heart of historic downtown Arcadia's antique district.
